what we do

sprfst is a retail service provider (RSP) on the NBN. we buy wholesale bandwidth from nbn co and sell it to residential households across Australia. we don't own the physical network — nbn co does — but we control how we package, price, and support the service we sell you.

why we exist

home internet in Australia costs more than it should. a big part of that comes from overhead that doesn't improve your connection: retail stores, large call centres, complex pricing structures, data caps, and contracts designed to make it hard to leave.

sprfst was started on the premise that you can deliver a reliable, unlimited NBN service for significantly less if you're disciplined about cutting everything that doesn't directly serve customers. no stores. no phone lines. no lock-in contracts. no data caps. no surprises on the bill.

how we operate

we're a small team operating entirely online. support is handled through in-app chat and our help centre — not because we don't care about customers, but because async written support is genuinely faster for most problems and keeps our cost base low enough to pass on savings.

we publish real-time network status at status.sprfst.com.au and are transparent about outages, maintenance, and performance. if something breaks, we'll post about it before you need to ask.
