directly from you when you sign up, update your account, or contact support
automatically through your use of the service (e.g., connection logs, IP address assignment records)
from nbn co and other wholesale providers as part of service provisioning

bill you for your service and process payments
respond to support requests and complaints
send you service notices, invoices, and important account updates
comply with legal obligations, including under the Telecommunications Act 1997 (Cth) and related legislation

4. Disclosure to third parties

We may disclose your personal information to:

nbn co and other wholesale network providers, for the purpose of activating and managing your connection
Payment processors, for billing purposes (subject to their own privacy policies)
Cloud and infrastructure providers, who host our systems and are contractually required to protect your data
Law enforcement or regulators, where required or authorised by law

We do not disclose your personal information to overseas third parties except where our cloud infrastructure providers operate servers outside Australia, in which case we take reasonable steps to ensure adequate protections are in place.

5. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you are a customer and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet legal obligations (typically 7 years for financial records). Connection logs are retained for the period required by the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 (Cth).

When your data is no longer required, we securely delete or de-identify it.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. These include encrypted data storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. No data transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information you send us.

complain about a breach of the APPs
